Afterglow
Afterglow
Afterglow is a duo that formed in the summer of 2012 between best friends, Adrian Mitchell and Jackson Simmons, when they were 16 years old. While attending high school in a cow town outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, the group wrote and recorded the album, "How To Get To Heaven..." in Mitchell's basement, and released it under a different name. With Mitchell on guitar and lead vocals and Simmons on keys and vocal harmonies, Afterglow continues to explore themes from personal tragedy to human extinction, leaving little to the imagination on the ride. Currently based in Los Angeles, the band aims to blend the sounds of the future with the primal fear and wisdom of the ancient past, all of which can be heard in their debut single, Cloning The Mammoth, as well as their performances throughout LA.
JANE MACHINE
JANE MACHINE
Jane Machine is the brainchild of Erica von Trapp, American vocalist, producer, songwriter, and keyboardist. Von Trapp’s effected synths, bold vocals, and head-nodding electronic percussion create a moody blend of danceable sad pop. Drawing inspiration from her years spent in Paris, where she started producing electronic music, to her childhood spent in the California Bay Area, Jane Machine lies somewhere between modern Scandinavian electro and hip hop.

Lyrically, von Trapp is not shy, addressing personal issues of abandonment, isolation, and sexual frustration. She started writing songs for the debut LP “Back Seat Driver” in France after she fled the United States following some traumatic family loss and a simultaneous break-up. It was in Paris that she met her partner, Jules de Gasperis, when he hired her to sing for his New Wave project. The two started producing music together under the duo GRAND BAIN and now live in Los Angeles where they own and manage their own studio. Jane Machine’s debut LP “Back Seat Driver” is a haunting electronic dance of loss and desire, and is scheduled to release mid-2017.
