Katelyn Tarver is a singer and actress from Glennville, GA now living in Los Angeles. Having penned UK #1 single ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ for Cheryl Cole, Katelyn dropped her own single ‘Weekend Millionaires’ last year attracting remixes from the likes of Young Bombs, Samuraii and Skizzy Mars. She went on to feature on the Lost Kings single ‘You’ and most recently released her own single 'What Do We Know Now’ which was premiered by Zane Lowe on BEATS1. Her forthcoming 'Tired Eyes EP’ via Duly Noted Records (Cloves, Black Honey) includes tracks produced by BURNS (Ellie Goulding, Britney Spears) and Ludwig Goransson (HAIM, Childish Gambino). Having starred in Brian Burton/Danger Mouse’s directorial debut 'The Chauffeur' last year, Katelyn’s next TV project sees her set to star alongside Bella Thorne in the forthcoming network TV show ‘Famous In Love’, premiering early 2017 on Freeform.

Born in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles, the trio GROVES rented a house and began creating a dynamic sound that’s experimental, unafraid, and limitless. The native Texans Stephen Salisbury (vocals/guitar), Reid Guidry (bass) and Will Smith (drums) met in high school and after years of sharing the same passion for music, left their hometown of Groves, TX for LA, in pursuit of starting a band.

Highlighted by tight grooves and melodically rich guitar interplay, the trio balance their approach with dark synth underpinnings and vocals that are at once urgent and cinematic. These are big alt-rock tunes with an intuition for structure and a taste of history. Picture an American version of The Police meets Phoenix or Tame Impala, with small town charm.

‘Ender’, their debut single, released in January 2016, embodies Stephen Salisbury’s infatuation with Space, sci-fi, and infinite beings over an addictive and hypnotizing chorus progression and the lyrics, “Hear Me All Ender, Can you help me see the light?”.
The second single ‘Swim’, is more upbeat and takes a dreamy direction, it's the soundtrack for a perfect California day. After releasing only two songs, GROVES found themselves embarking across the US on their first tour, supporting the legendary 80's sensation, Culture Club. “Touring with Culture Club was a truly inspiring experience. Seeing a band that's grown over 30 years, and still maintains such a love and passion for the art of playing, it’s really the ultimate accomplishment. It brought back that feeling of us being kids and playing our first shows, and just dreaming of doing it forever. It was a constant reminder of everything we hope to achieve in our career”, says Salisbury. The momentum carried onto the radio, garnering attention from Alt 98.7fm LA's New Alternative, as well as The World Famous KROQ.

In February, 2017 GROVES will release their first body of work, the debut EP ‘Not For Nothing’ featuring the new single ‘Urges’. The EP will release in collaboration with MDDN Records, a management company and studio lead by Benji and Joel Madden. “We put our blood, sweat, and tears into crafting these songs. Every track on the EP had to pass through all three of our checklists and we honestly feel this is the truest representation of the GROVES sound. We're very excited to see where it takes us", says Guidry.
