The Altons
The Altons
The Altons are a soul rock group with a twist of Latin inspired flavors and rhythms. Their music is driven by intense grooves from the rhythm section that will bring you to your feet, while soulful leads inspire lovers to dance a little closer. Based in Los Angeles, members Gabriel Maldonado, Carlos Canovas, Bryan Ponce, Joseph Quinones, and Adriana Flores came together from disparate musical backgrounds to bring The Altons unified energetic sound to audiences everywhere. When they take control of any stage you can always expect a fun and energetic time. From dirty blues guitar riffs to funky jams, these five musicians are sure to make the old and young crowd put on their dancing shoes. Years of experience let the band play off of each other's chemistry assuring each night is a unique experience with the audience. Always expanding the doors for new fans while staying true to their hometown roots The Altons vivacious cumbias are a sure shot to get any crowd singing in English or Spanish.

With their ability to lively up any crowd The Altons have played Viva Pomona, Make Music Pasadena, Echo Park Rising, and even Bernie Sanders East LA rally. However, they haven’t stopped at their Los Angeles border; The Altons have also performed at the grand opening for Cornerstone in Berkeley, the Beauty Bar in Las Vegas, as well as the Vera Project in Seattle. They have also shared stages with local Los Angeles artists Buyepongo, Thee Commons, and by way of Echo Park Rising Chicano Batman. Not one to rest on their laurels you can expect big things from The Altons, amongst those being the release of their double single Darling Girl/Last Call on 7-inch vinyl and their debut full-length album. 2017 is another sure shot year for this up-and-coming group.
Katzu Oso
Katzu Oso
Katzù Oso is a Latino solo artist based out of Los Angeles, CA. The moniker of Paul Hernandez, Katzù Oso combines upbeat, dancey production with dreamy vocals. Taking inspiration from artists like HOMESHAKE, Tame Impala and more, Hernandez sought to combine a dreamy synth-drenched sound with influences from growing up east of Los Angeles, CA – the sounds of growing up east of a major metropolitan city.

Katzù Oso’s music is written entirely in his bedroom but since the drop of his first single, “Sophie” in April of 2017, Katzù Oso has been growing quickly: from performing at backyard shows in his hometown of Montebello, CA to performing at venues such as Highland Park’s The Hi Hat and Los Angeles’ The Resident. Katzù Oso will be releasing his debut EP in 2018.
Quitapenas
Quitapenas
QUITAPENAS, one word – all caps, four syllables – all claps, gives you a taste of their rhythmic contagion. This tropical Afro-Latin combo was born under the warm California sun. They borrow aesthetics from the radical 60s, 70s and 80s. Each song echoes a remix of history and invites one to engage in the liberating evenings of Angola, Peru, Colombia, Brazil and beyond. The name means “to remove worries.” Everybody has a “pena” and the mission of QUITAPENAS is simple: to make you dance and leave you without a worry.
